Varun Dhawan’s film crosses Rs 100-crore mark
Judwaa 2 entered the Rs 100-crore club on Friday, making this Varun Dhawan’s second film to reach the milestone this year, after Badrinath Ki Dulhania. The film is a reboot of David Dhawan’s 1997 Judwaa, and fans were excited to see Varun reprise the roles of identical twins Raja and Prem, played by Salman Khan in the original.
Given the fantastic run of Judwaa 2 at the box office, it is obvious that Varun did not disappoint. The film stopped just short of the Rs 100-crore mark in its first week, but managed to cross it the next day. With Rs 4.25 crore on Friday, Judwaa 2 has collected Rs 102.33 crore so far. Judwaa 2 is a story of mistaken identity, when identical twins separated at birth land up in the same city. Their love lives get hilariously intertwined, as their girlfriends Alishka (Jacqueline Fernandez) and Samara (Taapsee Pannu) can’t tell them apart.

Despite being panned by critics, Judwaa 2 continues its fantastic run, and even managed to beat this week’s release, Saif Ali Khan-starrer Chef, at the box office.
