The shoot of Thalapathy Vijay’s big budget commercial action entertainer Mersal is nearing the finish line. Sources say that the film’s director Atlee is planning to wrap the shoot by the end of this month and then, the team will be concentrating on the post-production work to release the film for this Diwali. The film’s producer Hema Rukmani of Sri Thenandal Films has already informed Vijay fans that work on the teaser is progressing at brisk pace and the production house will soon announce the launch date.

Team Mersal is also gearing up for the grand audio launch on August 20. AR Rahman has scored all the five songs in the film and Sony Music South is holding the audio rights. Mersal has an ensemble of the actors including Nithya Menon, Samantha, Kajal Aggarwal, Vadivelu, SJ Suryah, Sathyaraj, Kovai Sarala and Sathyan.
