The failure of the Sidharth Malhotra – Jacqueline Fernandez starrer A Gentleman did not stop filmmakers from casting the two together. Their off-screen chemistry has gained a lot of attention by the fans, and the filmmakers want to bring that to their films. However, Sidharth not just refused one, but two films opposite Jacqueline.

The Salman Khan – Jacqueline Fernandez starrer Race 3 is one of those films. Sidharth rejected that film since he did not want to star opposite Daisy Shah. The reason for rejecting the second film opposite the actress was because he did not find the script exciting enough to be a part of. “Sidharth and Jacqueline looked good together in A Gentleman. Hence a lot of filmmakers rushed to sign them together. When Jacqueline gave the nod for this film provided she got a good male co-star, Sidharth did not feel that the script suited his requirements of films that could take his career upwards. So, he refused the film,” a source tells a leading daily.

It is also known that Karan Johar, who Sidharth deems as his mentor, helps him out with his choice of films. Which leaves us wondering if it was Karan who advised Sidharth from rejecting these roles or was it Sidharth’s alleged girlfriend Alia Bhatt who wishes not to see the two paired opposite each other in the film. Well as of now, the only assumption remains of the script.
