Buzz has it that Sara Ali Khan and Kartik Aaryan will collaborate for Imtiaz Ali’s Love Aaj Kal 2.

In 2009, Saif Ali Khan and Deepika Padukone brought forth the nuances of a modern relationship in Imtiaz Ali’s Love Aaj Kal, and now a decade later, rumours of a sequel to the film have spread like wildfire.

According to a report in Filmfare, Imitiaz is planning a sequel to the 2009 hit film, and the filmmaker is keen to cast Kartik Aaryan and Sara Ali Khan in Love Aaj Kal 2.

Rumour has it that Imtiaz and Kartik may collaborate for the project. After the success of Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety, Kartik has become a hot favourite with filmmakers.

After wrapping up Luka Chuppi with Kriti Sanon, Kartik is now busy reading more scripts.

It was only recently that Sara expressed her desire to date Kartik on Karan Johar’s chat show, and it seems Imtiaz is all set to play the cupid.

When Kartik was asked about Sara’s remarks at an awards night, he could not stop blushing. “I don’t know what to say to that. All I can say is that she is very pretty and I am really looking forward to her film,” he said.

Kartik said that he would like to take Sara out on a coffee date. “Haan, coffee peena chahoonga,” he told the reporters at the event.

If things go as planned, it would be interesting to see this fresh pair on the big screen.
