Rani Mukerji’s Hichki to clash with Karan Johar and Sonakshi Sinha’s Boom Boom In New York on February 23

Apart from these two films, John Abraham’s Parmanu: The Story Of Pokhran will also release on the same date at the box office

Rani Mukerji‘s comeback film, Hichki, which impressed everyone with its trailer, is all set to lock horns with director Chakri Toleti’s Boom Boom In New York at the box office on February 23. While Hichki revolves around the story of Naina, a school teacher, who suffers from Tourette Syndrome, Boom Boom In New York is expected to be a heartfelt, rib-tickling comedy that tells the story of two unlikely youngsters living in India in search of a better life for themselves. The film features an ensemble cast of Karan Johar, Diljit Dosanjh, Sonakshi Sinha, Riteish Deshmukh, Lara Dutta, Boman Irani and others.

Boom Boom In New York, which will be a 3D film, will have Karan Johar in a double role. Actress Lara Dutta, who plays a crucial role in the film, had earlier said, “We have been shooting in New York and it’s been a madhouse with amazing energy on the sets. I’m very excited to be a part of this film. Also, for the first time, we are exploring a new genre of stage reality film.” Producer of the film Vashu Bhagnani seems to be very confident about the film as he said, “Boom Boom In New York will be a new entertaining experience for theatre audiences. I am pretty sure our audiences have not seen so many big stars together in one film.”

Apart from these two films, Abhishek Sharma’s Parmanu: The Story Of Pokhran, starring John Abraham and Diana Penty, will also release on the same date at the box office. Looking at the scenario, it seems Boom Boom In New York will definitely have an upper hand at the box office due to its star cast and genre.
