A behind-the-scene photo of former couple Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif goofing around with rapper Badshah is going viral on social media.

It’s not 2009, but if your social media feed is giving you a sense that it is, that’s probably all thanks to Badshah.

A throwback photo of Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif is currently doing rounds, after the ace rapper who, by the way, is in the photo with the once-upon-a-time couple, shared it as an Instagram story. Naturally, it is bound to bring back memories of the duo’s past relationship.

In the behind-the-scenes photo, which appears to be from the set of a shoot, Ranbir and Katrina decked in ethnicwear can be seen goofing around with Badshah.

Ranbir and Katrina reportedly started dating during the filming of the Rajkumar Santoshi directorial, Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani in 2009, their first film together.

Both the actors have since then moved on in their lives, with Ranbir supposedly finding love in Alia Bhatt, his Brahmastra co-star, and Katrina embracing singlehood and focusing on her career instead.

Ranbir and Katrina also shared screen space in Prakash Jha’s directorial venture Rajneeti, in 2010. They eventually parted ways after a torrid affair during Jagga Jasoos, Anurag Basu’s magnum opus of sorts. The film itself took six years to complete, rife with reports of how the couple broke up in between the filming of Jagga Jasoos, and how despite the cold vibes on the sets, both wrapped up the shoot and even promoted the film after.

The new couple in town, Ranbir and Alia, will be seen in Ayan Mukerji’s next, Brahmastra, a three-part superhero film, also featuring Amitabh Bachchan in a key role.

On the other hand, Katrina was last seen in Ali Abbas Zafar’s Bharat (2019) along with Salman Khan. She will be seen sharing the screen with Akshay Kumar in Sooryavanshi next, a typical Rohit Shetty cop-comedy.

Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif now share a cordial relationship, and it is yet to be seen if their fans will get to watch them together on screen again.
