vikramadityan is a Malayalam drama film of 2014 directed by Lal jose. The production side is done by Mohan Nambiar and lal Jose together. The film casts Dulquer Salman, Unni Mukundan and Namitha Pramod in lead roles and AnoopMenon, Lena, Navi polly in supporting roles. Navin poly just make a guest appearance. Music of the film is by Bijipal. The film reveals the story of two families whose revenge attitude grow from one generation to the next and even after years the same treachery prevails and sack one from becoming a good person in front of the society. Vasudeva Shenoy (Anoop Menon) is a police officer and he had a love for his collegue lakshmi working with him. His mother didn't agree to it. But meantime another person, actually a thief fell in love with her and conviced her that he was a police officer in high rank in the near by station and cheated her and married her. Vasudeva married another girl and lead a peaceful life. Later Lakshmi understood that his husband was a thief but she could have no choice but to accept him. Both Lakshmi and Vasudevan’s wife gave birth to two children on the same day and they called them Adithyan and Vikraman. They were in the same school and were friends and enemies at times. Adityan was very lazy and Vikraman was a hard working fellow.They both loved a girl who was their friend. One day Shenoy arrested Kunjunni (Adityan's father) for smuggling and he hated his father there after. The humiliated kujunni commited suicide and all called Adityan 'thief's son'. Though vikraman was passionate to become a police officer his father find an enemy in Adityan and trapped him in a case and paved the way of Vikraman for the post. Adityan left the place and were not known for a long time. Faced with many hardships Adityan became an intelligent man and started to recuperate all including a position higher than Vikraman. What was his position? How he attained it? Will they restart their life long rivelry? Questions are many, but I won't spoil the supense by telling the whole story and you watch it and enjoy in a theatre. This is Dulquar and Unni Mukundan's first film together and for that itself both of them are perfoming each other in an outstanding way. Namitha Pramod coming in the rloe of their collgue and friend but have a fondness towards Adityan and support him when ever needed. Namitha proved herself to be a talented actress and a promise to the Malayalam and South Indian film industry.'vikramadityan' is another well crafted movie of Lal Jose and it firms his position in the industry well. The relation of the film with reality is still doubtful and a police officer is married to a thief, an interesting subject for a film!. Again, Namitha support a thief's son more and finally marry him!. But as an entertainer with music,romance and comedy Vikramadityan is a family entertainer with an element of youth and freshness
