Touring Talkies

Touring Talkies is a 2015 Tamil Anthological romantic thriller written, directed, produced and starred by S A Chandrasekhar. The film consists of two separate stories connected each other in a peculiar different way that both films underline the necessity of a social evolution in society and SA Chandraselhar himself in the lead role in the first story with Kolkata actress Papri Ghosh and Abi Saravanan. The second story casts Sunulekshmi, Ashwin Kumar Roboshankar Jayabalan etc..¦ This is a new experimental film which tried the new tendancy of Hollywood films that it included 'two in one' policy in this film. The film is consists of two stories and each one stands on its own. Both are dealing with socially important sublects. The first film tells the story of an old man, Antony (S A Chadrasekhar). Antony was a millionire and had a successful life bofe he became a millionire. He lost his love 50 years ago now he is in search of her. He is now in Shimla in search of her and the disoppintment in life made him a chain smoker. Hema Malini (Papri ghosh) is the name of the lover and the movie develop through flash backs. After the interval, the movie carry us to Tamilnadu, where the second story begins. It is the story of two poor sisters and the story of child molestation. The elder one works for a family where almost all members are corrupted ones and they do many malpractices and don't consider the girl as a human being. The second one is studying in a school. Both of the girls were misused by the surrounding people who stands high in the society. But they try to protest and guard themselves in their own way. The film received many positive reviews from the critics and the effort taken by S A chandrasekhar who directed the film (also written and produced) deserves much positive appraisal as introducing an innovative experiment and making it a success. The technical brilliance, dialogues editing and especially the music by Ilayaraja are the main cheering parts of the film. Though the flashbacks are really looks awkward with cotempory scenes, it may be forgettable, when compared with the social values the film offers to care.
