The Reporter is a Malayalam thriller-romance-mystery film of 2015 directed by Venugopan. KR Babu Raj produced the film. The film features Kailash, Samuthirakani, Ananya and Abhinaya 'The Reporter' unfolds the story of six people kidnapped from different walks of life, one after another. The police authorites were help less to locate them or even to find out the real cause of their disappearing. The film received negative reviews more and it was a super flop at the boxoffice. The actors, director or producer couldn't save the film from its predicted failure. They all approached the film in a silly manner and even the name itself is not related with the story of the film. The film maintains a light tone throughout, even when the situation demands a more serious approach. In short it is a weakly scripted. Poorly shot and vaguely directed film.
