Rudramadevi is a super hit Telugu historical film of 2015 directed and produced by Gunasekher. The film features Anushka Shetty, allu Arjun, Rana Daggubati, Vikramjeet virk, Prakash Raj in prominent roles. Krisnam Raju, Nithya Menen, Baba Sehgal and Catherine Tresa appears in supporting roles. After Bahubaali it is one of the highest expensive film in Telugu  and it was dubbed into Hindi, Malayalam and Tamil.

The film Rudhramadevi is a historical film based on the life of an adventurous Queen in the Kakatiya Dynasty in the Decca Plateau. Her name is Rudhramadevi and she is regarded as one of the few graceful ruling queens in the Indian history. Anushka Shetty act upon as Rudhramadevi in this film. Ganapatideva, who was the father of Rudhramadevi, was the emporer of the kindom of Orugallu (presently Warrangal- in Telungana). She begins to rule the kingdom jointly with his father as co-regent and helped his father in administration. During the beginning stage of her rule there was a total confusion and disorder in the country   due to the invasion of a strong enemy and she couldn’t withstand the foreign forces. The disastrous defeat of his country didn’t dishearten the ‘Maharani’ of Kakatiyas and she rose up as a phoenix bird and defended them sececcfully. But her father become very weak and couldn’t wish to continue in power. As time went on Rudhramadevi gets married to Veerabhadra, a Vengi Chalukya peince of Ninadavolu. They started to reign the country and it marked a golden rule in the history of Orugallu.
