Ram-Leela
Ram-Leela is a 2015 Kannada romantic film directed by Vijay kiran. Soundarya Jagadish is the producer of this film. The lead stars of the film are Chiranjeevi Sarja and Amulya. This is their first film together. It is the remake of Telugue blockbuster film, Loukyam. Gopichand and Rakul Preet Singh performed the respective roles of chiru and Amulya in Telegu. Apart from the lead pair Shobraj, Sadhu kokila, Ragayana Raghu, Ravishankar and Chikkanna are the supporting artists appearing in the film.
Ram-Leela unfolds a love story that grows through cetain uncertainties and accidental coincidences. Ram (Chiru) is a young enthusiatic guy who interferes in the problems around him and always stands for the right side. He is ready to do anything for his friends and once helped a friend to marry his lover by abducting her from her home. The girl was the sister of a big don in the city and the don tried to endanger the life of Ram. So he escaped from the city and hides himself in Metro city, Bengaluru. But here also he couldn’t hide himself for long and when he happened to come out another major problem emerged before him. He fall in love with a beautiful girl and she loves him back and fell head over heals infront of him. They too together enjoyed life and this did not last long. The girl whom she loved was another sister of the same don whose sister was abducted by him and arranged marriage with her lover. Then there started a war of hostilities and Ram played very intelligently and defeated the don and his supporters to secure her.
The film received mixed reviews more, but this is a fulltime comedy movie more than a love story. This fun filled film is packed with many comedy characters and each one contributed their part vigorously to make it a family entertainer of this year. Sarja (Chiru) and Amulya are a perfect ‘joddy’ and their chemistry works well with youthful charms of Chiru with steller looks of Amulya. It shows how comedy can do wonders in a story if one knows how to use it. The film crew had tried their best to make it look as grand as possible and dialogue, cinematography and music score, everything were in good proportion and helped in its grand success. But too much accidental coincidences occur in relation with the lead characters does not feel ‘coincidental’ always and some times keeps boring. But as a whole it is a watctable movie and a family entertainer.
