Rahasya

Rahasya (Eng: Mystery) is a Hindi mystery crime story of 2015. The film is directed by Manish Gupta. Mrs Monica Vimal Maluka produced the film for Viacom18 Motion Pictures and UVI Film Productions pvt. Ltd. The film stars Kay Kay Menon, Tisca Chopra, Ashish Vidyarthi, Mita Vashisht and Ashwini Kalsekar in lead roles. The music of the film is done by Ranjith Barot. The film tells the story of a murder and the investigation with it to find the culprit. Many twists and anxiety are there in this film, which make it a mystery crime thriller. Ayesha Mahajan (Sakshi Sem) is the only daughter of her parents Aarti Mahajan (Tisca Chopra) and Sachin Mahajan (Ashish Vidyarthi). She was everything for them and treated her as a princess which God provided to them. But one day she was found dead in her own house. The news spread as wildfire and plolice started investigation. They reached the conclusion that her father, Sachin Mahajan himself is the murderer and he was arrested. No one could believe it and later the case was forwarded to CBI and Sunil Paraskar (Kay Kay Menon) was appointed as the chief officer in charge. The investigation goes on vigorously and Sachin Mahajan was proved innocent. In his investigation sunil Paraskar discovers many ugly truths related with this case and he finds that the paradox is widening larger and larger. Instead of one many suspects came into forefront. What were the ugly truths discovered by Sunil regarding this case? Who did kill the innocent girl and for what? The rest of the film tells the answers in detail. The film is said to be based on the real incident Aarushi murder case which was very notorious and in the news for a long time. The thrilling story could succeed to some extent to provide the viewers with a kinfe of anxiety and fascination. They met with many real life-like situations and some realities that are cruel and invisible in society. The ugly truths revealed in this film opens the eyes of the parents as well as the well wishers. The performance of Tisca Chopra and Kay Kay Menon deserve special appreciation and most of the time it is She who carries the film on her shoulders. The role of the CBI officer played by Menon though sometimes feels unrealistic, is a commendable one. In maintaining the suspence till the end, the team succeeded and that is a plus point. But the film failed in background music, cinematography and music fail to give a lasting effect. So to conclude we can say Rahasya is only an average film claiming nothing to boast of itself.
