Prem Ratan Dhan Payo (Eng: Receive a treasure called LOVE) is a 2015 romantic drama thriller film of Bollywood released in November. Sooraj Barjatya is the writter and director of the film, while Ajit Kumar with two more others produced the film for Rajshri Productions. It stars Salman Khan and Sonam Kapoor in lead roles with Swara Bhaskar, Neil Nitin Mukesh, Armaan Kohli, Deepak Dobriyal and Anupam Kher in supporting roles. The film released simultaneously in India and Pakisthan. Later its Tamil and Telugu versions also released as ‘Maranthaayo Anbe’ and ‘Prema Leela’ respectively.

 The film reinforce the Universal fact that there is nothing that can overcome the force of Love. It tells the story of a guy (Prince?) who understands the value of love in gathering all the members in a joint family. Yuvraj Vijay Singh (Salman Khan) and Yuvraj Ajay Singh(Neil Nitin Mukesh) are princes of Pritampur and are always in quarrel for the crown. A modern ‘Sakuni’ plays between them to get benefit of their quarrel. Vijay singh is engaged to princess Maithili (Sonam Kapoor). Maithili being a mild girl doesn’t like the arrogant nature of Vijay and tries to avoid him always. The bigheaded nature of Vijay creates many problems in their palace, which is a joint family. In an attempt to kill vijay by Ajay and team, Vijay escapes with a mojor injury and now under treatment by hiding himself from them. The twist of the story starts with the coming of a stage actor Prem Dilwale (Salman Khan) in to the scene. He came to the palace to meet his sweetheart, the princess.His resemblance with Vijay forced him to act like vijay and his calm, cool and loving nature has altered the whole story of the family. But Maithili again started to love this transformed Vijay thinking that he has abandoned his stubborn nature and returned to a peaceful life. But the story not ends there, for Ajay Singh and Chirang Singh, his manager Sharpened their knife looking for a suitable opportunity to vanish vijay. Who will succeed in this battle at the end is the remaining story.

The film received Mixed reviews more and all of the critics united in their opinion that it resembles some 1980’s story with the same joint family. But all these criticisms doesn’t affect the collection of the film at the boxoffice and now it is already a blockbuster, going by the hype and anticipation. Prem Dilwale has actually shown what is love and affection and how can this be used to solve many problems in our daily life. Jointfamily, which is quite rare in the present society and not known to the youths of this generation, this film provides a grand treat to them with the dazzling performance  of the super star; Salman Khan. He appears in dual role in this film and takes the film on his shoulders. The songs, dialogues, cinematography every factor joined with the film story aptly. The reference of Rama and Sita repeatedly is quiet borring and this would have been avoided. But inspite of all these black marks you can enjoy this Diwali with Salman and he will not disappoint you by any means. PRDP is a real family entertainer of 2015.
