O Manishi Katha
O manishi katha (Eng: Story of a person) is a Telugu family/ drama film of 2014 Directed by Radhaswamy Avula. Bala Bhai Chovatia produced it on Om Shiv Films banner. The film casts Jagapati Raju and kalyani in lead roles. The music of the movie was written by vijay karakula. O Manishi Katha tells the story of youth filled with revenge, in the course of time become a guard and savior of whom he planned to kill.
Ramu (Jagapati) runs a small dhabha in his place and earn a good sum for his living. Sita (Kalyani) was a neibhour to him and supplied milk to the shop daily. She was good looking and coveted the mind of the hero. Ramu fell head over heels before sita and they married each other. They had a family friend, who works as a lawyer. He was a daily visiter to his house and all the family members trusted him like anything. But this lawyer was an unfaithful fellow and when he got a chance showed his true character and raped Sita and went away silently. Sita couldn't bear this and commited suicide. Ramu like every hero vowed to revenge on the lawyer. He direcly went to the vilain's house and 'settled' there. The twist of the movie started from there. The innocent nature and affection of criminal's wife and daughter changed his mind on the whole. But his actual hatred was towards the lawyer. Would their love and affection towards him help them to save her husband? What made him to jail for a crime? The story progresses for an inevitable climax. The movie received many negative reviews and in the box office it made no progress. Though the film conveys a good social message, we can't meet such merciful hero now a days and the vengeance of the hero gave way to a lover and custodian. This is an outdated and repeated story told by many and the director is trying to fill new bottle with old wine. He couldn't even relate the story with modernism and tell it differently. Jagapati Raju’s fans will surely be disappointed of him for giving dates to such a worthless film. Though he tried hard to perform well his part the rest of things were out of his control and nothing could save the film in the box office.
