Murugatrupadai is a Tamil action/drama film directed by k Muruganadam and produced by Hero of the film Saravana himself. The heroine is the English Vinglish fame Navika. Music have been scored by Ganesh Raghavendra.

                                    The story is about college life and influence of politics in colleges. It deals with politics of art and engineering college students and their love, protest, friendship, disputes and many more things. They protest against the discrimination of college authorities against class, race and other unfair differences. At last they succeed in eliminating the differences and forgetting all disparities they unite for a common cause. It gives a good moral story. It tries to give a true picture at its best and try to carry us back to our early college lives which we witnessed at some points of our life. Songs of this film is appreciable and one of the highlights of this film is the Chennai bus song by Gaana Bala which definitely tops this album. The main drawback of the film is that it is very often repeated subject and that continuous repetition can be watched in this film also. Some unrealistic happenings are even remotely connected with the subject.
