Maha Maha (Eng: Great Great) is a romantic thriller film of 2015 in Tamil language directed and produced by Mathivanam Sakthivel for Sakthivel Screens. Mathivanam Sakthivel himself carries out the lead role with Melissa, while Indira, Nizhalgal Ravi, Anupama kumar and Meera Krishnan performing the role of supporting artists. Some Australian casts also appears in the film.The film completed its shooting in Australia and released the film all over Tamil Nadu along with Australia and England.
Maha Maha unfurls an interesting story of a guy who works in Australia, his extraordinary experiences there pulls the story of the film foreward. Vijay (Mathivanam Sakthivel) recently came to Australia as part of his business. There happens so many accidental incidents in his life. He met a good-looking Australian girl, Emily (Melissa) and falls in love. But accoding to police the same girl was missing for the last ten days and they were in search of her. At last they found the dead body of Emily from the house guarden where vijay lives. But the situation grims, when they know that Emily was killed a day before Vijay arrived there! All were in confussion. Was it Emily or a girl similar to her was found by Vijay? He asked the same question to himself many times and finally decided to find the answer by himself. But the twist of the story starts from there and the investigation unfolds many interesting and shocking facts later. I won’t wipe out the anxiety by revealing the climax but you yourself can find it in a theatre.
The film received more positive reviews and the innovatism adopted by the director in this film was widely appreciated. Mathivanam sakthivel prove himself to be a versatile genius and including his performance did a good job. He made it romantic and at the sametime a horror suspense thriller. He succeeded in maintaining the suspense throughout the film and his refreshing unique concept with unexpected twists make it an impressive movie. All actors including actresses contributed highly to its success and as Sulekha said in its review the film is overall a good attempt by Mathivanam and has given the kollywood audience an experience soothing refreshing.
