Kappal
Kappal is a Tamil comedy/love story film Directed by Karthik, formare assistant of the famous Director Shanker. P L Arulraj and two more others produced the film for I Studio Entertaiment. The hero and heroine of the film are Vaibhav and Sonam Bajwa, while Arjun and Karunakaran appears in supporting roles. This is the story of four friends who value ‘friendship’ for more than anything. They were so close to each other that once they promised that they would not marry or love any girl until their death as marriage might break their friendship. So if anybody of them had a remote wish in their mind for any ‘love affairs’ others will soon interfere in that and make it fruitless. But for Vaidhav it was very hard to live with out an affair and he tried for it often. Whenever he tried his friends knew about it and made it a flop and it made him disappointed. So without knowing their friend he left the place and went to Chennai to find a girl friend and he succeeded in his attempt. He finds Sonam there and Sonam in returne love him and they two became lovers. But What about his friends? They found Vaibhav at last in Chennai at started their activities as before to make them separate and own his friendship for them alone. But this though they succeeded they felt very soory for him and they decided to change their plan. Why are they sorry? What made them think different? Whether Vaibhav wouls succeed in obtaining her again? For best answers there is inly one way left with you, watch the film. It received mixed reviews and it reveals a differet story where the villan of the film is the hero’s best friend and he do all these for the hero’s love for his friends. While in company with our friends we may take many such faulty promises and later found it very difficult to get rid of them. More over friendship is only friendship and the thirst for a true lover cannot be postponed for the sake of friends. In short it is a funny story for youths and they were the most viewrs of the film. Vaibhav and Sonam did an excellent performance and the ways adopted by his friends to separate any relation make you laugh.I conclude te review with a small quote from The Times of India which gave 3/5 and wrote, “Karthik g Krish, is not after heavy philosophy but entertainment. So, he constructs the film as a comedy that is often silly, at times offensive but overall funnyâ€.
