Ivanuku Thannila Gandam

Evanuku Thannila Gandam is a Tamil film of 2015 directed by S N shaktevel, his debut attempt. V Venkatraj is the producer and the film stars Deepak Dinakar, Neha Ratnakaran and Rajendran in lead roles.

This film unfolds the story of a television achor Sravanan (Deepak Dinakar) and his lover Deepika (Neha Ratnakaran). Saravanan is going through one of his worst times in life. Everything he touches ends in fail and he was very disappointed. One of his collegue challenged him and overthrown him once and to add fuel to his life he developed a doubt of his girl friend also. To escape from these all he went for a party to forget all things. When he become intoxicated he told his collegue, who was a hitman, to kill his enemies including his girl friend. The next mornig heard the news of the deaths of two of his enemies except his girlfriend. He was in total confussion and tries to save his lover. But things were not as like he thought. There were some other hidden facts behind these killings. What are they? Can he save his lover from the killer? And finally what happens to Saravananan?

The film received mixed reviews from critics and it made no response at the box office. Though Deepak Dinakar and the debutant Neha played well in their roles they couldn’t salvage the film from its disaster. Actually the film rests on a baseless story and from the word to go the climax is predictable. The film fails in diloguage delivery and choreography. The dual behavior of Saravanan is not persuasive with the context and as Sify concludes the director tried too hard to make this film as a laughathon. As the name itself suggests the film has showed successfully how can be a man in drunkard stage behave ruthlessly without any descretion on his friends and lover.
