Ishqedarriyaan

Ishqedarriyaan (Eng: River of Love) is a Bollywood romantic film of 2015 directed by VK Prakash. Rajesh Banga is the producer. The film features Evelyn Sharma, Mahaakshay Chakraborty and Mohit Dutta in lead roles. The film hit the screens on May 29, to have a solo release.

Ishqedarriyaan unfolds the story of three persons and their love, sacrifice, family values and relationships. The name of the film itself means relationships and when it is romantic it is too catching. Agam Divan (Mahaakshay Chakraborty) is a millionaire and has business access worldwide. Most of the time he will be out of  India regarding with his business and come to live with his parents very rarely. For him business is every thing and loves his profession more than anything else. Once he heard a shocking news about his father’s missdeeds in the past and it hurt him very much. Suddenly he cancelled all his programs and started to his home land to explore the truths about his father. But while on searching he met a beautiful teacher, Luvleen (Evelyn Sharma), Whome he started to love in his first site itself. Luveen was an enthusiastic teacher by profession and used to collect donations to her grandfather’s school. She was in love with a singer, Arjun (Mohit Dutta) already and finds Aagam Diwan as a good beneficiary who will donate a handsome amount as donation to his grandfather’s scholl. So she used to meet him and wish him in streets. On the other hand Aagam Diwan loved her wholeheartedly and wanted to make her his life partner. When Luvleen came to know about it she was in a dilemma. Her lover Arjun came to know about it and what will he do next is the exciting question arose here. She also develops a soft corner for Aagam, which make matters worsen than they think. But at last one has to sacrifice his life for her with a broken heart. Who will sacrifice whose life? The story moves to a thrilling and emotional climax at the end.

The film received mixed reviews more and was marked as only an average film at the box office. Evelyan Sharma and Mahaakshay Chakraborty, after a long gap come together on screen and their chemistry once again was a subject of talk in the film field. Evelyan Sharma, the lead actress did her role in a profound manner and mahaakshay supported well and contributed much. The debuntant actor Mohit Dutta with his short but significant role confirmed his talent and has a good future in bollywood if continues. Music and location, which is mostly shot in Himachal Pradesh provides a feast to the eyes and cinematography of the film is excelled. But the negative part of the film is more severe than its positive side and critics rated it as a film of second or third grade. The film actually provides old wine in new bottle and the subject was a repeated one from the starting history of films itself. Romance is a glowing subject and when it told in an innovative way, then only it strikes the minds of people. The predictable story of the film, with over emotional scenes make actually no impact upon the viewers and failed miserably to connect impressively. The first half stimulus of the film is lost in the second half and the film perverted from the initial path with no logic to explain. I wish to conclude the review with a quote from The Indian Talka which says : “Evelyn can be seen in every third scene of the movie which makes it little boring the whole movie revolves around her. There is complete lack of the other sides of the story which is much meeded with this idea. No doubt the performance of the actors are next to awesome”.
