How Old Are You

How Old Are You is a supperhit Malayalam drama film which recorded the magical grand come back of the once retired actress Manju Warrier. It is a Roshan Andrew’s film and listin Stephen under the banner of magic films produced it. Besides Manju Kunchako Boban, kanika amd Lalu Alex are the other leading characters. Nirupama Rajeev (Manju warrier) is a house wife cum government servent. She works in as a UD clerk in revenue department. Rajeev Narayanan (Kunchako Boban), her husband, works in Akashavani. She led a common life till that ‘call’ came! One day for her surprise the president of India wanted to meet her to discuss about some particular things concerned with the society. But her anxiety and tension didn’t allow her to meet the president and seeing the president she became unconscious! All started to tease and make jokes on her. She was very much disappointed, even her husband and daughter didn’t support her in her disaster. Meanwhile the family wanted to go to Ireland but there also she had no chance of getting a job, So she remained in kerala and the rest went to Ireland. As a silver line she met her old friend Susan (Kanika) and Susan inspires her with courage to fulfill her youth dreams and aspirations. The twist of the story starts from there and we can see an entirely different character. The most surprising moments in the film occurs after this meeting with her friend. She gained power to face anything boldly in life. She became a role model for many and those teasing people came near to her for advice. This film gained significance as it marked the return of Manju Warrier after a gap of over 14 years. This is the first film in which manju and Kunchako pairs each other. Any way Manju made her return historic and we got our gallantry Manju back. This film points out the importance of self sufficiency and organic farming. We can conclude with The Hindu remarks on the film : “One of those films that will bring crowds to the theatre just to watch a middle-aged female protagonist perform” and named it as one of Kunchako Boban’s best performance. This film gives a new outline regading women Empowerment and organic farming and Advantages.
