Hi I am Tony is a Malayalam Psycho 'thriller' film of 2014. Lal jr. (Jean paul Lal, son of Lal) did the direction while Sibi thottupuram with two others done the production work. Lal, Asif Ali, Mia, Buju menon and Lena are the main characters of the film. It is said that the film was based on a true story which happened in Banglore. The story begins with the elopement of Sameer (Asif Ali) and Tina (Mia). They left their home because of their family problems and were searching a good secure place to live for some days. On the way to the flat, arranged by their friend Achayan (Biju Menon) they met with an accident and there they met man whom they were not fond of. They went to the flat and the same mysterious man followed them to the flat and apologized for the misbehavior and aksed their company and offered his help for getting a job. Any way he managed to stay with the couples and they knew his real nature after that. He was actually a psycho-mental person and he started to torture them by asking many useless questions about his own wife, who is no more. It is later revealed by tony that he had killed his wife because of a doubt of defilement and the the person behind this is one named Sam. Tony was behid the new couple, bacase he believed that the Sam he is searching for is the same person whom he stay with. Tony had a quarrel with Sameer and in that incident Tony got killed by sameer. Achayan Though disparate over this incident promised to help them and buried the body of Tony!. The twist of the story starts from there and later Tony appears again on the scene!. Wheather it is real Tony or his ghost? What happened to Achayan? The rest of the story reveals all these things. The film received negative reviews more and it is top among the list of botched films. The role of Lal in the film is only a repetition of his previous roles and the director could not rivet any new contraption to the film. He failed to reveal the inner demons that drive the characters and the plot is wafer thin. There is absolutely no flow and the crew failed to connet the different scenes logically.
