Herogiri is a Bengali romantic comedy film of 2015 directed by Rabi Kinagi. Nispal Singh poroduced the film under the banner of Surunder films. Mithun Chakraborty, Dev, koel mallick and Sayantika Benerjee are in lead roles of the film. this is a remake of the 2013 Telugu film 'Balupu'. Herogiri unfolds the story of a man who went for revenge for his friend and atlast facing his destiny. Maria (koel Malick) and with her uncle (Kharaj Mukherfee) tries to cheat Devâ's friend. Dev was a handsome young man works as a collection agent in one of the banks in Kolkatta. He has so many friends and he was ready to do anything for them. His father is compelling him to marry a good girl and he was willing and searching for one. It was Maria's habit to cheat men in the name of love and dev's friend also once a prey for them. He was so much disappointed and tried to commit suicide. When Dev came to know about it he decided to teach them a lesson. He directly went to their house and started to torture them. He defeated all plans of her uncle to trap him. At last as a final settlement they proposed maria to marry dev. Dev also had a plan to propose that to them also. So they agreed soon. But maria was engaged to a guy by her father once. So that guy's mother tried to revenge on Dev. She brought her uncle, who ws a notorious criminal. The twist of thwe story starts there. Dev had an unknown past that eas not glorified and the presence of the criminal eroused his past into his mind. Will he marry Maria and took revenge? What was his past that he tried to conceal? The film will answer all these questions. It is regarded as an action oriented family entertainer. Koel Mallick, Dev, all performed well. But the presence of Mithun overshadowed everyone with his screen presence. The film contains some unrealistic elements. The over action and the policies of the father towards his son makes the film more unrealistic. But the unexpected twist and climax of the story makes it quiet a watchable one.
