Hamari Adhuri Kahani (eng: Our Unfinished Story) is a romantic drama film of 2015 released in bollywood. Mohit suri is the director and Mahesh Bhatt produced the film under the banners of Vishesh Films and Fox Star Studios. Emraan hashmi, Vidya Balan and Raj kumar Rao features the mailn roles of this film. It is said that the story of the film is related with the life of the producer’s parents.

As mentioned the story tells a romantic story of a wife who has been forsaken by her husband and protected by a guy who cares her soundly. The story starts with the humiliating scene of a woman who is getting off from a bus in search of somebody. Her body is very weak and she fell down on the floor. This is Vasudha (Vidya Baklan) a florist. The film go to the flash back and Vasudha is now working as a floral arranger in some important places in the city for her livelihood. She is living with her only son and looking for her missing husband, Hari (Raj kukar Rao)  for the last five years. Once she saved the life of the owner, Aarav Rupal (Emraan Hashmi) of a hotel she works and he develops a soft corner for her and offers a job in his hotel in Dubai. But she was unable to accept the offer. She knew from the police that her husband is a terrorist and now a culprit in the case of killing five American Journalists. Aarav slowly fall in love with her and reveals his sorrowful life, which induced her to meet his mother. After the meeting she decided to give a life to Aarav and they started to live happily for some time. But the twist of the story starts with the return of her missing husband and her misery starts from there. Police arrested Hari and she approaches her present lover for help. He was ready to help her by any means but the crooked mind of her husband burned the bridge before he acts and the story goes to an unexpected climax in the end. The falling lady at the beginning is revealed to be the Vasudha and she came there with a strong determination which may cause terrific changes in the mind of her husband. The film received negative and positive reviews more and was a failure at the box office. Although on performance ground it was praised by critics they are united in the opinion that the story is very weak and failed to connect well the the ongoing situations. The film slipaway from the theme and becomes a romantic one sometimes and again returning to old plot without any prior introduction. The slow pace of the movie is widely criticized. The on screen chemistry between Emraan and Vidya is a positive part of the film and the film touches every aspects of life with emotional as well as socio-economic relations. The relation of her husband with the terrorist group is not weldefinred and remains as a secret. The movie would have been better, if a little more attention is paid on the story and its execution. But the music and cinematography of the film is good and attracted many viewers to the theatre.
