Gippi
Gippi (Riya Vij) is a story of school going adolescent girl who was living with her mother (Divya Dutta). She is fat and is very cautions and worried about it. In her school, she comes across bullied and cruel girl Shamira (Jiyati Modi) who make her afraid. At the same time she starts liking Arjun (Taaha Shah). But their friendship is mistaken as love where Gippi come across very unusual incidence which made her understand the truth of Samira. She decided to take revenge of Shamira and stood against her in school elections. Gippi able to take revenge or not is rest of the story.
While watching this film may take you back to your teenage years and you might instantly relate few scenes with those days of your life. The feeling of jealousy and anxiety that is experienced during teenage is nicely portrayed in this film. How teenagers come across the incidences where their feelings get hurt and how they come out from the emotions is all about the movie. In first half there was some comedy, drama, and goodie sequences while in second half audience find emotional drama.
The director Sonam Nair has shown new story with good presentation and narration. Riya has shown her efficiency and Arbaz was mature in the film. Doorva was live in the movie and Jayati, Mtinal Chawla and Taaha Shah was appropriate and up to the mark. The film is power-packed performances from entire star cast.
The idea of the movie was innovative, meant for teenagers where they face typical problems as shown in this film. The film is good watching at least for once.
