Gangster

Gangster is a Malayalam crime thriller film directed by Aashiq Abu. The producer of the film is OPM. Super mega star Mammootty plays the lead role along with Nyla Usha and Apana gopinath as the female roles.

Gangster reveals the story of Akbar Ali Khan (Mammootty) who witnessed the brutal murder of his family by some local goons. From that period onwards he kept the fire of vengeance in his mind and when he became old and strong enough to take revenge he carried out it in a grand style. He emerges as into a don of fearful repute. He became so cruel and ferocious that even his subordinates were afraid to talk with him. For some reasons he shifted his base from Mumbai to Manglore and there also he became the king of the under world. But tired of this world he entered into a treaty with his enemies and his enemies pretending to accept his call for peace, try to ruin him. Understanding their plan with the sixth sense khan moves with another plan to smash them.

It was a most awaited Mammootty film, so the expectation about this film among his fans were at the highest. That expectation reflected on the releasing day itself by his fans and it got a good start. But this did not last longer and even a hardcore Mammootty fan find it very difficult to sit through this boring film. The crew could attract the audience attention in any of the part of the film and it became a below averge flop. The Shallowness of the script, odd dialogue many time repeated actions and nothing innovative were the main drawback of the film.
