Eradu Kanasu (Eng : Two Dreams) is a kannada romantic drama film re-released on 6th February 2015. Its evergreen nature and the positive long lasting effects in the minds of the people after long years compelled the film crew to make it on the air again. The songs of the film are still on the tip of their lips and it was a musical blockbuster of that time. Dorai-Bhagwan duo directed the film, while Rajan-Nagendra composed the music, which was awarded by Karnataka state Film Award Committee for best Music Director. The film features Rajkumar, Kalpana and Manjula in Lead roles. As the story was very clear to the old generation, the new generation also kept the songs close to their heart and from their infancy they are hearing the song. But for the new comers the story of the film was not familiar and I shall give a brief summary here, which is as fantastic as the music of the film. It tells the story of a protagonist who has two love affairs in his life and the problems that make in his life. Ramu (Rajkumar) was an Enlish literature professor in a college and were a respected person. He was madly in love with his cousin Lalitha (Majula). They dreamed a lot and suddenly a strong wind by the way of family quarrel occurred and it shattered their life. Ramu had to obey his mother and forced to marry another woman Gowri (kalpana). Gowri loved him very much and was very humble at heart. But Ramu couldn't forget his old love so easily and he deliberately avoided Gowri. But when he realized the truth that how much Gowri love him it was too late. The suspence of the story and a twist starts from here and for watching the climax I request you to watch the film without delay. The musical, romantic entertainment hit of 1974 again make waves in 2015. The film received positive reviews more and was received warmly by the audience. They find the 1974 story still remained valid for the viewers. The songs of the film which was a hit form its release in 1974 itself, convulsed the audience again. The relevance of the songs with its story added beauty to the film. It is in fact a fantastic film with a stunning music and a good story line. It will remain evergreen after the years to come also.
