Elanjikavu PO is a Malayalam investigation/crime story of 2015 directed by debutant Sangeeth Louise. Sunil Achalimood produced the film under the banner of Double Four Cteations. The film features Mukesh, Nandini, Salim Kumar and many others with firebrand politician P C George. The film tells the story of Sivaraman, a dedicated school teacher, who was trapped by some criminals in the society. Sivaraman (Salim Kumar) was a dedicated school teacher works in village and share the knowledge to the little ones and elders alike. He was a very respectful man and many students consider him as role model of their life. Suddenly every thing changed and he was jailed for murdering a girl student after raping her. No one in the village could believe it, they didn't expect such a ridiculous and immoral action from his part. But all the evidence were against him and he was imprisoned. But some rumours that it was a trap and no one was able to prove it. Lekshmi (Nandini) an ardent disciple of Sivaraman unable to believe it, decided to prove the truth behind it. For that she approached Charles (Mukesh) and Rajendran (Riyaz Khan) for help. Charles was a lawyer cum magiciam and he had some soft corner towards Nandini. When Nandini insisted on he gladly agreed to cooperate with it. There comes some polititians, political and social issues as well. But who trapped the teacher is the important question and the film goes to an unexpected climax. It was a super flop at the box office. The debutant director couldn't save his film. The film does have an interesting plot, but the director's weakly-sketched characters fail to make any impact despite the gravity of the situation. When there is not even one scene to hold the attention what is the purpose of making a film like this. The film actually started with a murder case but half of its time goes with love scenes of Charles and lekshmi. Next it is after the American lady who won election and became the president of the panchayath. It is quite an unnatural story that a lady who does not know Malayalam to speak and write becomes the president!!. The people of kerala are not so foolish as the film crew thinks. Later the truth is revealed and that also in a conventional way. The poor script and narration spoiled all the good elements of the film and Schmaltz of the story ruined everything. Watching the movie is a total waste of time.
