Do Dooni Chaar

The film has the realistic concept with a message to give in. In India, owning a car is considered to be matter of prestige which gives status symbol in the society. Each and every middle class family has a dream of owning a car. And this is the centre point of the storyline of the film Do Dooni Chaar. Besides this, the film touches every little fact that touches our day-to-day life. The film talks about corruption, inflation, aspiration, values, father-son relationship, call center generation and so on. The story of the film if all about Delhi based middle class family of Rishi kapoor as Santosh Duggal, his loving wife Neetu kapoor as Kusum Duggal, son Archit Vasudev as Sandy and college going daughter Aditi Vasudev as Payal Duggal. Santosh is a Mathematics school teacher doing a second job in a coaching class. Like every Indian, Santosh is also finding him difficult to meet his monthly budget in current inflation. With various ups and downs, bonding moments, competition etc; one day Santosh’s sister arrived at home with a wedding invitation at her in-laws. She states fatal condition to Dugaals to attend the weeding by coming Meerut by car. The story moves further in a very realistic way which is worth watching. The first half of the film is very down to earth without any Bollywood masala depicting daily life recipe showing the characters of the film and their routine problems. And the second half the film came to the mood. As usual Rishi Kapoor was stealing the show; Neetu kapoor was natural showed good chemistry which was obvious. Director Habib Faisal have done half of his job by inviting the real life couple Rishi kapoor and Neetu kapoor to act in the film after 30 years. The director have efficiently shown many slice of real life with his real and sensitive writing skills. The film was truly 100% entertaining, humorous with a message to be delivered at the end.
