Dikkulu Choodaku Ramayya

Dikkulu Choodaku Ramayya is a romantic Telugu film directed by Trikoti. Vaarachi Chalana is the producer of the film. The main characters of the film are presented by Ajay,Naga Shourya and Saha Khan.

Gopala Krishna (Ajay) is a man of forty and works as a bank employee. From his childhood itself he worked for his family and he had no way to enjoy the pleasure of life. At an early age of 18 he married a poor innocent girl on his Gradma’s request and it increased his burdon and he become shorten to his own life by way of circumstances. His eldest son is an engineering student and loves a girl secretly. One of the main factor that leads the film forward is krishna’s special character to some young girls. He aspires to flirt young girls even at this age and find a mental satisfaction from this. Once regarding with a loan issue Krishna helped an aerobic student of 21 year old and both he and in gratitude she fall in love each other. The twist of the story is that the same girl was the secret lover of Madhu, Krishna’s son. They dind’t know each other that they are loving the same girl. Accidently on Samhitha’s birthday Madhu realized the truth and he knows that his father is next to God for her mother. He tried his best to stop this relation. I won’t break the suspense of the story and you yourself find whether he will succeed in winning his father for the family or Samhitha came back to him?..

The film received mixed response form the critics and no waves at box office. Some unrealistic shots with a touch of realism make it a failure one. The role of Krishna fails in itself to convince his character change. But Naga Shourya deserves a special clasp for his performance. As a son who suffers in between his father and lovable mother expressed his talent again and of course a plus point for his future career. I wish to conclude the review with a quote from Deccan Chronicle: “ You can watch Dikkulu Choodaku Ramayya once, and should appreciate the debutant director for his good effort to come up with a new subject".
