Desi Kattey is a Bollywood action-drama film directed and produced by Anand kumar under the banner of Anand Kumar productions. Sunil Shetty features in the lead role in this film.

                              The story revolves round two orphan boys from Kanpur, UP who works in a pistol factory and turn out to be sharp shooters. Their names are Gyani and pali.They are living like ‘made for each other’ and from their childhood itself they had criminal mind in them. They used to frighten schoolchildren to fetch their tiffin boxes for their lunch. Pali loved an elder girl than him and when grow up killed her lover and marry her. They became followers of a politician and later went to jail for a crime not committed by them. But there again they had a savior named Major Suryakant Rathore who bails them out and insisted them to live peacefully. But an unexpected offer from the politician changed their mind and they were in a dilemma to accept or reject the offer. But the suspense lies in the fact that the major had a secret plan to fulfill by them.

                             On the review of the film we can say that it falls flat on the ground because the film was a mixture blunder of many things and the director were run out of ideas. It is only a copy of many late nineties super or flop films and it has no match with a distant reality. Once Pali becomes a man and his lover remains the very same through out the Pali’s transformation from a child hood into a grown up man. The film uses the very outdated pre-recorded fake languages which make the audience uncomfortable. As far as acting is concerned Only Sunil Shetty as the major is memorable one. It conveys no message and it is a senseless boring attempt by director Anand Kumar.
