Daddy : The living God, as the name suggests tells an extra ordinary relationship between a father and son. Ollywood super star Arindam plays the role of the loving son and Mihir Das is the father. It tells the story of a son who is ready to sacrifice any thing for the sake of his father. He knows well the difficulties faced by his father to brought him up and the dreams of his father is him also. But as time passes there come a twist in his life which makes him actually in a dilemma and his lover makes the problem worse. Will it turn down his dreams, relation or will they be able to overcome it?. The second half of the film deals with that.

This film actually provide a different taste of love story to the people of Oriya. While all are fed up with love story of romantic type (a male and female) here the producer comes with a love story entirely different in type and in the attempt Appu Kanungo has succeeded hundred percentage. Arindam Roy carried the film on his shoulders with his excellent performance and all other leqding characters gave full support to him.At box office it was a hit and still it runs in packed houses at B and C class theatres. In the modern world where family relation is at the danger zone, it is a much delighted attempt and a remainder for the members of the family everywhere. The social message that conveys by the film cannot be ignored in the present scenario.
