DK

DK is a political satirical film of 2015 released in Kannada language. Vijay kampali, former director of 'Kalla Malla Sulla' and 'Auto Raja', directed the film. Rakshita, the famous actress produced the film. The film stars Prem, Chaitra Chandranath, Sharat Lohitashva and shobaraj in lead roles. Another speciality of the film is the presence of sunny leone in the film. The actress features in a special item song Sesamma, which mark her Kannada film debut. As mentioned it is a political satitrical film about the political confrontation between two politicians. Rame Gowda, Dk as he is called (performed by Prem) is a kind hearted man and always helps the needy. On the other hand shive Gowda (Sharat) is a superstitious person who believes that all his political upcoming are occurred because of his daughter Laxmi (Chaitra chandranath). At first she in full support of her father's wrongs, but later because of DK's intervention convinced the actual reality and become a strong opponent of her father. The hatred of Laxmi towards DK Turned into love and she even agreed to contst election against her father. The story also depicts another two politicians who represents the modern politicians and the present political condition virtually with some unexpected situations. The film received negative reviews more and does not clicked at the box office. The film failed in all fields and a many time repeated story does not have any impact on the audience. Though the actors especially Prem and Chaitra performed extraordinarily brilliant manner the director couldn't make much fruit from this. In the first half the father-daughter relation is presented vigorously and emotional scenes are certainly good. But all these plus points were drowned in the flop dialogue, cinematography and action. I request to avoid the film if you have another choice before you.
