Baahubali: The Beginning is a gigantic bigbudget action thriller film of 2015. This Bilingual epic historical fiction film is written and directed by S.S. Rajamouli as his prestiges project. This is the first of the two cinematic part and the second part is expected to be released after 10 months (May 2016). Shobu Yarlagadda Produced the film with Prasad Devineni. The film was simultaneously made in Tamil and Telugue and dubbed into Hindi Malayalam and French Languages. The film features a number of famous actors with innumerable crews appearing in it. Prabhas, Rana, tamannaah and Anushka shetty in lead roles. The supporting actors appearing in this film are Ramya Krishnan, Satyaraj, Nassar, Adivi Sesh, Tanikella Bharani and Sudeep. The film is released worldwide in 4200 theatres.

The word Baaubali means the one with strong arms. The films recounts the story  of two warring brothers for a kingdom. The film starts with Sivagami (Ramya Krishnan) with a child, who escapes from the soldiers following, she tries to save the child by offering her life. She called him mahendra Bahubali. On the next morning a few villagers found the child alive in the middle of water. As fate decided Sanga (Rohini) and her husband rescue the child and raise him as their own. They cared him like a prince and grown with an astonishing astuteness and valour, which attracted everyone. Later he grows up to be the mighty shivudu (Prabhas). The high water fall nearby his village was a great attraction for him and after many attempts he finally makes it up to the top. The real thrilling and astounding part of the film starts from here. There he searches for the owner of the mask unexpectedly came to him on his way and it was a beautiful Guerilla warfare warrior Avantika (Tamannaah). She was in continuous fight with a tyrannickal king Bhallala Deva (Rana Daggubati) to rescue the Queen Devasena (Anushka Shetty), who was in custody of the cruel king for the last 25 years.  As they know each other they fall in love and Shivudu pledges to help her in her mission. The incident to rescue Devasena changed the life of the Shivudu altogether and he finds that he was actually the descendant of the royal family. His grandfather and his brother were in serirs fights for the kigdom. And by some unscrupulous ways Bhallala Deva (The present king) occupied the kingdom and tried to kill the true inheritor of the kingdom. Shivudu was the son of late king Amarendra Bahubali and his real name was Mahendra Bhahubali. Kattappa (styaraj) revealed to him that he is the actual heir of the kingdom. Bijjala Deva, his grandfathers' brother was a cruel man and tried to dethrown his father from power and tried to kill Shivudu as he was an infant. But Sivagami (wife of Bijjala Deva) who was a righteous woman at heart protected him from those wicked enemies and thus he came into the village under the care of Sanga. He understood from Kattappa that his father was a strong warrior who defeated many enemies during his reign. But somebody betrayed him and killed him. The new revelations was shocking to him and made him mad. Who was behind his fathers’ killing and how did they killed him is the relevant question which stood before him unanswered. Through the two parts of the film S. S Rajamouli tries to untie the knot of suspense in an unexpected thrilling manner.

The film received highly positive reviews from the critics and it was already predicted that it would definitely break many records and secure a position so high that may not be conquered by anyone in the near future. It is credited to be the first film to produce by spending more than Rs 250 crores. It was released in more than 4200 theatres worldwide. Upon release also, it makes history, breaking all box office records of its predecessors by its majestic run. The storming initial pull at the theatre is a new experience after a long time and the film collected 100 crores with in two days of its release! It is clear from the reports that Bahubali is going to create another record for its massive earnings. The features of the film is inexorable  and it is said that for 17 VFX & 800+ technicians including some world famous companies like Tau films (Los Angels) Dancing Digital (china) and Macro Graph (south Korea) were participants in this venture. In perfection the film equals with any Hollywood movie and gave a new experience to the audience. The amazing visual effects, production design, narration and background score etc enriches the film’s beauty. Especially in warfare and Idol erection scene themselves stand superb. Visuals of waterfall and the beauty of the nature along with kingdom are some of the magnificent brilliance to experience. The latest news is about opening a film museum showcasing the film sets, weapons, artillery, costumes and props in Hyderabad. Though a full review is not possible at this point, the first part has successfully defended  the believes of the film crew and all critics were unanimous to praise Rajamouli and he comes victorious in his huge attempt. No doubt it is a Standing ovation to the creator Rajamouli.  On Performance all are at their best and are complementing each other on screen.  Prabhas and other leading actors spend restless days practicing horseriding and artillery. The Standout post of the hero itself is enough to attract the audience to the theatre for this dazzling, legendary, superhit film of 2015. The viewers are eagerly waiting for the second part to release. I wish to conclude the review with a quote from The Times of India as follows: “This highly anticipated part one of the two part periodic epic, manages to enthrall you with its sheer scale and grandeur”. It is a historic turning point in the history of Indian cinema and makes glorius waves not only in India but in Hollywood also.
