It is quite surprising that the after working on comedy films the director very efficiently deal with such a world of spirit with ease. He holds the audience by comedy as well as immediate scenes where they tighten their seat belts. Comedy scenes let you laugh and at the same time suspense and scary incidences occurs in haveli give you great excitement. Akshay Kumar played role as doctor of physiatrist Dr. Aditya Shivastav. The scene of Monjulika behind the door and Dr. Aditya Shivastav as a king thrill the people. The movie is about a family and their haveli, where everybody believe that some ghost is leaving and no one want to live there. Shiney Ahuja played role as Siddharth and Vidya Balan played role as Avni his wife. They decide to stay in the haveli during their holidays. They don’t take the matter seriously even though his uncle warns them. Voices of ghungroos, objects break down, somebody dance at midnight. Due to all such incidences it is difficult to conclude that any ghost is their or somebody is using the tricks. But the director made it more realistic and subject became very intelligent which turn towards the story of mental patient Avni. Dr. Aditya Shivastav study the case of Avni and gave the treatment. Vidya is execellent. Akshay again have played very interesting character as doctor of psychology. Amisha Patel, Paresh Rawal and other co-stars have done great job. And as said above director has given new masala. Script is also new and great.
