Aurangzeb
Aurangzeb is the tale about respectable citizen of the society Yashwardhan/Yash (Jackie Shroff) who is quite powerful. But his family members hold connection with mafia agencies. One of the top crew members was Ajay (Arjun Kapoor) who leaves no evidences after the crime. The police department decided to put end to Yash Empire. Rishi kapoor, Prithviraj and Sikandar Kher are seen challenging Yash him wife Amrita Singh nd his son. The police authorities capture Ajay and torture him. They send Vishal as cop duo of Ajay to Yash house to collect all information about their connection with mafia agencies. However, the few twist in the story comes which Vishal’s life in danger. The film is named after Ajay who is Aurangzeb- a king who puts his throne above relationship.
Aurangzeb is well-paced story which takes new form of family rivalry. The audience can enjoy few genuine surprises, thrills and powerful scenes. However, the film was disappointing in terms of execution after good storyline and script.
The film was not up to the mark; however, the performance of the star cast was good and elegant. Arjun Kapoor was good and effective in his dual role. Jackie Shroff and Rishi kapoor was appropriate. The first half of this film is interesting but second half spoiled the entire momentum of the story and took the film in confused and unconvincing end.
The film was also a failure at box office. Aurangzeb was disappointing, it could have done better with little editing.
