Atithi Tum Kab Jaaoge

Atithi means the guest. The story is the contradiction to the well known saying ‘Atithi Devo Bhava’. It is said that we Indians believe in giving respect and hospitality to our guests. We believe that Atithi is our God and we treat them as if the God has come to our home. But this thinking is now changing. It is all about ‘Atithi Tum Kab Jaaoge’. The film is the story of a guest that comes to stay overnight and then his stays prolongs for weeks and months. The film is a great comedy film about the kind of hospitality given to the guest when he becomes troublesome and boring to the host. The host is just waiting when that guest will run away and they are freed from all the troubles. The Atithi is played by fantastic and talented actor Paresh Raval who drives the show for three hours supported by Ajay Devgan and Konkana Sen. Paresh Raval acting as a guest comes to the Ajay Devgan and Konkana place asking for the Pappu. Ajay Devgan is Puneet in the film and hence he becomes Pappu for the unwanted guest Paresh Raval. Ajay, Konkana and their six year old son is leaving a happy family life when this unwelcome and unexpected guest comes to their house. The film has a humor when this family wants to drive out this guest from their house. The substance of the film is Atithi can be described great when you talk but the execution to hostile them is impossible now a days. Hence, today definition is like ‘Beware of Atithi’.
