Anukshanam is a Telugu crime thriller (slasher) film Written and directed by Ram Gopal Verma, produced by Vishnu munchu. Vishnu Munch and Revathi are in lead roles. Surya also plays an important role in this film. It uses a new way of distribution system namely auctioning through website and it is the first one to do so. Ram Gpoal Verma directed the film based on a true story that took place in Hyderabad. Inspired by the serial killer who sends a wave of panic across the city he make beautiful film with much suspense and action.

                                Soorya plays the role of the serial killer and he targeted only women. A special police officer Gautham (Vishnu Manchu) is appointed to investigate the case . All see this case as something special but no one could find the reason behind this serial killing by thr killer. With the help of behavioral science specialist Shailaja (Revathi) Goutham gets closer to the killer. But some unexpected happening in the end washed him off from him and get suspended from service. But he still continued his investigation secretly and the film goes on with the investigation.

                                         It received more positive reviews and it was an instant hit film . Vishnu Manchu delivers a better performance but Surya disappointed viewers in this film also. Revathi justified his role but can’t say super. Vishnu Manchu rose to the occasion and performs his best as this character demands both quirkiness and emotion. Even then we can’t avoid to see some major drawback of the film. Sometimes the leading characters are fooling people with their ‘Tom and Jerry” play. This film shows some unrealistic events and it is simply moronic. The film has many similarities with some films and this repetition adds an outdated feeling to the viewers. But the songs, cinematography and presentation make it a watchable one.
