Amar Akbar Anthony is a Malayalam comedy/thriller/suspense movie of 2015 directected by the debutant Nadirsha. The film is produced by Dr, Zachariah Thomas and Alwin Antony. The future superstars from the new generation are appearing in lead roles in this film. They are the upcoming sensations and trios of the Malayalam film industry.  Prithviraj, Jayasurya and Indrajith are those leading characters in this film. Namitha pramod is the leading lady character. Asif Ali, Sasi Kalinga, Srinda Ashab, Kalabhavan Shajon,Abu Salim,KPAC Lalitha, Bindu Panicker etc… appears in supporting roles.

  Amar (prithviraj), Akbar (Jayasurya) and Antony (Indrajith) are three best friends. They lives in a slum area in Fort Kochi and work hard for their daily bread. Amar is a toy car driver lives with his parents and sister. Girls are the greatest weakness of him and he is actually a hero in his place and there are many unsuccessful love affairs in his account. His friend Akbar is a handicap due to Poliomyelitis and  lives with his father, who is a body builer and mother. The third one, Antony works as a pizza delivery boy and is the only and adopted one of his parents.  Whenever get a time  they work as catering service boys for marriages and other functions. They three love a girl, Jeni (Namitha Pramod) near their neibourhood, who is a cinematic dancer. They save money from their salary to go to ‘Pattaya’ in Tailand with a hidden intention of flirting with girls. After hearing about this place this became a great ambition of them. But all these were became their dream only when some unexpected happening in their life turned all things down. The story goes on interestingly with a lot of comic situations and suspense. The film never disappoints a viewer and is worth for the money.

The film received many positive reviews and Nadhirsha, the debutant director has secured his position as a successful director. He, as an experienced guy in the field of comic, mimics, and parady field, applied his understandings very well in this film to make it a grand success. His ability to make humour in a natural way is proved and it shows how comedy can do wonders in a story if one knows how to use it. The movie is a perfect blend of a brilliant script, excellent actors, brilliant direction and technical excellence. The modern internet medias like face book and whatsapp are widely used to make humourous situations and shows how it lead to a danger if not wisely used by anyone. The film is clubbed with an important social issue of today that is child exploitation, harassment and persecution.The exceptional performance of the lead actors gives a perfect and unique look to the film.
