10th July is a Bengali dramatic film directed by Rahul Gangopadhyay and produced by A Mandol. Chiranjit and Ritupama are in lead roles.

                                The film unfolds the love story of two youngsters who are in deep love but some unexpected happenings in their life turns things down. Arka (Chiranjit) and Tiyas ( Ritupama) decides to marry each other and they lives in nearby flats separately. Tiyas lives with her friend sania. Once when his boss was ill arka looked after him and for that his boss arranged a party. Arka drank too much and was forced to stay in the room with his boss. Later he avoided his boss for no reason to say outside. But when he met his lover she reveals that she loves her roommate as she loves him. She revealed that they can’t live separately so they are in a dilemma. They are planning even to break the relation with Arka. Arka was extremely shocked by hearing this. But the actual events unfolds after that.

                       No doubt the film is an extremely bold step from tollywood to explore several themes which are taboo like homosexuality, lesbianism and such. It was really a rare experiment. Tollywood gets very serious with this relationship story in a big way. This film surpassed all tollywood expectations and made a sweeping victory over the moral policing of the state. New comer Abhhrajit, without the fear of a newcomer has done a decent job. Chiranjit comes as a surprise choice as Arka’s boss Mridul. But full credit goes to the director to make such a film beautifully. Though a social issue no one was touched. it gives a bad message to the society. The viewers must have the ability to choose the good and bad in this film.
