Buzz has it that R Madhavan will play Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s love interest in Fanney Khan. After her faboulous performance in Karan Johar’s Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, all eyes are set on Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s next Bollywood venture – Fanney Khan. The film has been in news ever since the makers got Aishwarya and her Taal co-actor Anil Kapoor on board for the film.

However, Aishwarya won’t romance Anil in the film. And the makers have been on a look out for a hero opposite her. While there were reports of Vicky Kaushal and Rajkummar Rao being the contenders for the race, but latest buzz suggests another name.  According to a report in Mid-Day, R Madhavan is likely to romance Aishwarya in Fanney Khan. This is not the first time that Aishwarya will work with Madhavan. They were last seen together in Mani Ratnam’s Guru.

Film’s co-producer Prerna Arora in an earlier interview to Mumbai Mirror had spilled the beans on Aishwarya’s role in the film. “Her character is the complete opposite of her serious turns in Jazbaa and Sarbjit. In our film she is the spunky, enchanting female protagonist,” she said.

Fanney Khan is the Hindi adaptation of the 2000 Dutch release, Everybody’s Famous! However, the makers have given their own twist to the plot. The film is set to go on floors this August.
