Katrina Kaif To Accompany Salman Khan At IFFI 2017 For The Closing Ceremony
After eminent personalities and actors of the likes of Sridevi, Shah Rukh Khan and Shahid Kapoor were seen yesterday at the inauguration, more people from the industry are promising their presence at the coveted event of The International Film Festival of India 2017 (IFFI) held in Goa. A few others of the likes of Salman Khan and have Amitabh Bachchan will be attending the closing ceremony, with the latter set to give a closing speech. And now to join her Tiger Zinda Hai co-star, is an excited Katrina Kaif.
Talking about attending the coveted event, Katrina told Hindustan Times, “I look forward to being a part of IFFI. For me, it’s all the more special because it will be my first-ever visit. I’m happy to be a part of Asia’s oldest film festival, especially since it celebrates the ‘future of cinema’ this year.” She also expressed that she “was excited to attend such a prestigious film festival.”
A source tells the daily, “Katrina is also busy with her brand shoots and other professional commitments. However she will be taking time out from her schedule to lend her support to the film festival. She wants to lend her support to anything that will enhance the quality of cinema.” Talking about the festival, her Tiger Zinda Hai co-star Salman said, Salman Khan said, “The Festival has a fantastic line-up this year and I look forward to attending the closing ceremony and meeting some of the best names in cinema from across the world.” Katrina and Salman’s Tiger Zinda Hai is slated for a release on December 22 this year.
