Prithviraj‘s historical dramaKarnan, which will be directed by R S Vimal, is reportedly going to be made on a budgetof Rs 300 crore. The amount is five times more than what the filmmaker had told us when the movie was initially announced.The film already has an animated companion piece lined up that will hit screen a few months after the feature film’s release. The epic drama, which is also scripted by Vimal, will have most of its shooting locations in North India including Varanasi.The film will reportedly go on floors only by next year and it would have to be seen what the Mollywood film which is also planned to be made in Hindi, Telugu and Tamil accomplishes with such a huge budget.
