During the grand finale of Bigg Boss Tamil season 1, Kamal Haasan announced that he will be collaborating with director Shankar for the sequel to their hit film, Indian 2.The film is in its pre-production stage and director Shankar is fine-tuning his script.According to reliable sources, the team of Indian 2 is believed to have initiated talks with Bollywood actor Ajay Devgn, trying to rope him in to play a key role in the film.

If Ajay agrees to sign the film, he will be seen as a cop who is on the hunt to nab Kamal Haasan’s character in the film.
Also, with Ajay Devgn as part of the cast, Indian 2 will also have a massive opening in Hindi, which will be an added advantage to the film.
Indian 2 marks the reunion of Kamal Haasan and Shankar after two decades. With Kamal Haasan embarking on his political journey today, the film is expected to have several sequences that talk about a corruption-free India.

Recently, director Shankar and cinematographer Ravi Varman launched Indian 2 by releasing a helium air balloon in the air, in Taiwan.Earlier, producer Dil Raju was supposed to bankroll Indian 2 in Tamil and Telugu. Due to unknown reasons, Dil Raju backed out of the project and Lyca Productions agreed to produce the movie.
