Has Salman Khan refused to star opposite Priyanka Chopra in SLB’s next?

According to the latest report, Sanjay Leela Bhansali has finalised on the title of his next film. The filmmaker’s production house has gone ahead and booked a title called ‘Gangubai’ with the Indian Motion Pictures Producers Association (IMPPA).

Now that the title has been finalised, it opens up more about the film. It was earlier said that the SLB film will be around Heera Mandi while Gangubai has made it clear that the film is based on the life of a woman named Gangubai, who actually ran a brothel in Kamathipura area in Mumbai. Talking more about Gangubai, she was the one who ran multiple brothels and later offered protection to the women who were forced into the flesh trade. She also met Jawaharlal Nehra, the then prime minister to address the issues of women in flesh trade.

Now coming back to the leads in the film, we recently heard Priyanka revealing on a talk show that she has signed a film for Sanjay Leela Bhansali and we assume this the one she will star in and play the brothel owner in this period drama. On the other hand, there were also reports on Salman collaborating with Sanjay Leela Bhansali post ‘Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam’. However, let us tell you that both the films are different and not the same. While Gangubai is a period film, the movie for which Salman has been signed is a love story.
Well, talking about the same, there are also reports which says that Salman Khan has probably expressed reservations about Priyanka Chopra starring in the film. Keeping aside all the grudges, fans would love to see them together in a film.

On the work front, Priyanka will make her Bollywood comeback with Shonali Bose’s ‘The Sky Is Pink’ starring Farhan Akhtar while Salman has just wrapped up ‘Bharat’ opposite Katrina.
