Whoa! Sridevi and Mohanlal to be part of SS Rajamouli’s next?

After the Baahubali series’ roaring performance, fans are eagerly awaiting SS Rajamoulis’ announcement on his next. Considering the last movie’s phenomenal concept, expectations from his next film are already sky high. One such rumour floating around (as per reports on Times of India) is that his next directorial venture will feature superstar Mohanlal, This comes as no surprise as the director time and again has revealed that he is very keen on working with the superstar. In fact, Mohanlal was also approached for Kattappa’s role but due to certain reasons that didn’t take off. From the looks of it, SS Rajamouli has not given up trying. but this rumour doesn’t end here. The reports further states – Sri Devi has been approached to play a pivotal role in the film. If it all works out, we might just get to see Sri Devi and Mohanlal together! Wow, two powerhouses talent directed by a genius himself; hat will be some lethal combo to look out for. As per reports on IBT, the film will be set in current times and will be based on real life situations.

This rumour comes as a surprise considering, SS Rajamouli and Sri have shared a not-so-great conversation recently. Recently, SS Rajamouli had revealed that he had first approached Sri devi for Sivagami’s role but they had to drop the idea due to her alleged heavy remuneration demand. In response to his comments, Sridevi had expressed shock and disappointment in one of her interviews, during Mom promotions. Apart from refuting SS Rajamouli’s alleged claims, she wasn’t happy that this matter was being spoken about on a public platform.

Soon after SS Rajamouli apologized for bringing this matter up publicly although he didn’t deny his claims. Recently Sri Devi too had mentioned that she bore no grudge against SS Rajamouli. Was she probably hinting at a potential collaboration?
