Deepika Padukone and Virat Kohli top the list of “most valuable” Indian celebs
The stock of Deepika Padukone and Indian cricketer Virat Kohli has been constantly on the rise in the recent years. And this has been reflected suitably in a list of most valuable celebrities in India where they have topped the charts for the year 2018. According to the fourth edition of the report given by Duff & Phelps, global valuation and corporate finance advisors, there has been an increase of 18% in Virat’s brand value which makes it worth $ 170.9 million. Virat is being followed by Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone whose brand value is worth $ 102.5 million.
By November 2018, Virat had endorsed about 24 different kinds of brands in India, and Deepika too had endorsed around 21 brands.
In India, the brand endorsements are being done mostly by the Bollywood celebrities but sportspersons like Virat Kohli also provide tough competition to the B-town celebs in this field. Virat along with his wife Anushka Sharma have endorsed a total of around 40 different brands.
Virat and Deepika are followed by Akshay Kumar in the third place, and Ranveer Singh in the fourth. Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan and Hrithik Roshan complete the top 10 list.
