Alia Bhatt to reprise Sridevi’s iconic roles in Chaalbaaz?
Alia Bhatt has reportedly been approached to play Sridevi’s role in Chaalbaaz remake.
After Judwaa 2, David Dhawan is reportedly working on Chaalbaaz remake’s script which saw the evergreen Sridevi in a double role.
If reports are to go by, senior Dhawan is keen on having Alia Bhatt onboard for the movie. According to sources, the filmmaker is already working on the script.
Recently, Alia while speaking to media had revealed, “When I had gone to him, asking to be cast in the next installment of Judwaa, David sir told me ‘I have a better role for you in comparison to Judwaa 3’. The next time I told him about my wish again, he said ‘Not in Judwaa 3, you have to work with me in the Chaalbaaz remake’.”
Interestingly, Sridevi who nailed the sweet and brash sisters role in the original had confessed that the one movie of hers which deserves to be remake is Chaalbaaz. She has also mentioned that if at all it is ever remade, Alia would be the perfect choice for it. “And if it’s remade, the one actress who could fit in that double role of mine is Alia,” the evergreen actor had said.
Meanwhile, Alia is busy with Meghna Gulzar’s Raazi which releases next year. In the movie, Alia plays a Kashmiri girl and her look from the movie has already got everyone talking. She will be seen opposite Vicky Kaushal in Raazi.
