Varun Dhawan and Shraddha Kapoor shoot for a song atop O2 arena in London
The 40-day schedule of Remo D’souza’s Street Dancer 3D kicked off on February 10 in the UK with its leads, Varun Dhawan and Shraddha Kapoor. According to a source, the film is currently being shot on the rooftop of the dome-shaped O2 arena in London, the world’s ninth largest building.
“This is the first time that a Hindi film song is being shot at the top of a stadium in the Queen’s City. It’s a fun, romantic track and besides the dome, it will also feature the interiors of the stadium,” the source added. For the shoot, the team was allowed to take along a 20-member crew besides Varun and Shraddha. “Getting to the top felt like a 10-minute trek. We were attached to harnesses to ensure that no one lost balance,” the source informed.
Mirror had earlier reported (January 23) that the album of the dance film, produced by Bhushan Kumar and Remo’s wife, Lizelle D’souza, is a mix of original compositions, folk songs and recreations. Varun and Shraddha play dancers grown up in the UK. The film will have several face-offs, one of which will be filmed on Shraddha and Nora Fatehi, who plays a pivotal role. Street Dancer also marks the debut of Shakti Mohan
and Vartika Jha.
