Though many of his fans might think Golmaal Again would be his biggest opener which collected a whopping Rs 30.14 crore on Day 1, it’s actually Singham Returns which raked in a staggering Rs 32.09 crore.
Biggest Festive Hit – Golmaal Again
Ajay Devgn’s last release Golmaal Again became his biggest hit of all time. The fourth installment of the franchise also became the first Rs 200 crore film of Ajay Devgn and also the first comedy to achieve this feat.
Biggest Solo Hit – Singham Returns
It seems the terrific duo of director Rohit Shetty and actor Ajay Devgn is the most successful pair of Bollywood. Despite earning Rs 140.62 crore in its theatrical run and becoming his biggest solo hit, Singham Returns underperformed at the box office due to average word of mouth, and the collections fell drastically in its second week.
Biggest multi-starrer hit – Golmaal Again
Ajay Devgn’s highest grosser of all time Golmaal Again is also his biggest multi-starrer hit that also features an ensemble cast of Parineeti Chopra, Tabu, Arshad Warsi, Tusshar Kapoor, Kunal Kemmu and Shreyas Talpade.
Apart from all these records, Ajay has seven Rs 100 crore films which include Golmaal Again, Golmaal 3, Singham, Singham Returns, Bol Bachchan, Shivaay and Son of Sardaar.
