Did Ranbir Kapoor’s mommy Neetu Kapoor fly to Sofia, Bulgaria, to ring in his Brashmastra co-star Alia Bhatt’s birthday? Well! That’s what it looks like from the last few posts on the former actress’ Instagram page. She, along with husband Rishi Kapoor, are in Bulgaria where Ayan Mukerji’s film is being shot and while she has not put even one picture with Ranbir, there are two with Alia already. Alia celebrated her 25th birthday on Thursday, March 15, and Neetu reportedly partied with her and her gang of girls from the film.

Earlier also, Neetu posted a picture of Alia, captioning it “birthday girl in her own world”. We could also spot director Ayan in the background. Neetu later posted another picture with Alia and her girls, captioning it, “Evening with some lovely beautiful people.” You can check out the two pictures below.

Now, coming to how we surmised that the girl has mommy’s approval. If you may recall, RK has dated two famous names in the past and he took them both home to meet the parents. There were also reports of how Neetu was fond of one of them but could never come to like the other one. However, recently we saw her ‘liking’ Ranbir’s ex Katrina Kaif’s pictures on social media and sending a sweet gift and word of praise for another ex, Deepika Padukone, for her performance in Padmaavat. Now, she seems to be extremely fond of her son’s latest co-star Alia Bhatt and making the trip at a time when she celebrates her birthday only comes as proof.

Interestingly, there has been a lot said and written about Ranbir and Alia’s growing closeness. India.com also exclusively informed readers how they are spending a lot of their off duty hours in Bulgaria with each other. While Alia never spoke up about her equation with RK, she opened up in an interview with a leading daily where she said, “I strongly believe that ‘silence is golden’. It’s not as if I’m never going to have a personal life. I will and I do have one, but I feel it’s called ‘personal’ for a reason. That’s why it will always stay close to me.”
The actress very skillfully steered clear of accepting or denying anything regarding her equation with Ranbir, leaving scope for speculation. But until any further confirmation, we can only wish for the stars to come out in the open about their relationship, or the lack of it thereof.
